Glow Plug Warning Light Loss Of Power

Wondering if anyone might have some other ideas as to the issue Im having with glow plug light popping up and cutting the engine on my jag 22d At the start when it would just light the glow plug light on dash it would cut the engine and when I started the car it fired straight away and was fine but would do it whenever it was put under abit of throttle over 2k or 55-60mph. It ran ok for a few daysThen had an intermitant problem where glow plug light came on and loss of power again.

Both the flashy light and loss of power are both common with a sensor in the fuel pump on the engine itself going bad in 2005-2010ish cars. In my case the EGR valve had failed but there are a few other possibilities including EGR cooler and one or two other items. But ran fine on 34 of the current tank until now. Cylinder 1 glow plug harness is open or shroted. Your diesel vehicle is equipped with glow plugs and also with a Glow Plug Light that will either come on and stay on or flash or blink when a fault is detected by the ECU engine management unit. The dealership should be looking a stored diagnostic trouble codes. Ask them what codes were scanned and let us know. It happens a lot when the car has just started but also happens a couple of times a week while driving.

I changed mine it is a new. Ive found the glow plug light problem with my Jag it was the air filter. For some reason I had the idea to move the shift to manual which stopped the stuttering engine but from that point on I was unable to achieve much more than 60 mph.

Faulty glow plug module. The glow plug light comes on and there is a lack of power - switch it off and restart and it seems to be ok for a while. Turbos are abit weak on them alright but best not to jump to conclusions and check that the n75 is ok and that its vacuum lines are ok as t can cause a overboost fault code.

Dropped it back to my mechanic. Engine fault - workshop appeared on the display. Faulty cylinder 1 glow plug.

Cylinder 1 glow plug circuit poor electrical connection. If playback doesnt begin shortly try restarting your device.
